GEORDIE ALLEN RGD, AOCA
Prior to founding C(Group Geordie was Associate and Senior Designer with global branding agency Gottschalk+Ash International where he trained under world renowned Designer Stuart Ash. Geordie gained extensive experience while at G+A and helped create some of this country’s most recognizable brands.
Geordie’s work and reputation created a demand for his thinking and C(Group was born to enable his direct participation in national communications projects. Through the following decade he led major large-scale branding projects including the re-naming and re-branding of the Toronto Stock Exchange family of brands: TSX Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TSX Markets, the re-naming and branding of the Investment Dealers Association to its current IIROC, the Wine Rack, Children’s Wish Foundation and many other well-known works.
With demand for C(Group’s services greater than capacity, Geordie decided to make a strategic shift to cause-based work – to dedicate the balance of C(Group’s creative efforts to being part of the solution. Non-profit and cause-based work had always been a favorite sector for Geordie and having the luxury to focus in this area felt like an excellent way to give back and make a real difference in the community. C(Group is now a recognized agency leader in this sector.
Geordie is an RGD (Registered Graphic Designer), has been a member of various Advisory Boards including as a Governor of Branksome Hall School (6 years), The Design Firm Owner’s Advisory Board for RGD Ontario and the Humber College Communication Degree Program. Geordie is regularly asked to speak at industry events, Universities and Design Schools.
