Earlier this month, the C ( Group team was at the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario’s Head Start Event, held at the Toronto Reference Library. Each year, the RGD holds this event to help emerging graphic designers in Ontario get a head start on networking and preparing their portfolio for potential employers.
C ( Group’s Senior Graphic Designer Eduardo Trejos, R.G.D., was busy reviewing portfolios for hopeful designers:

As a part of the speaking series, C ( Group’s very own Laura Sellors, R.G.D., gave a talk on strategy in design. Laura provoked a roomful of young designers to ask questions like, where does strategy come from? and outlined what designers can expect from a creative brief.
“All design needs to support an overall strategy,” explained Laura, echoing a mantra that’s at the heart of C ( Group’s core values; “No matter how ‘pretty’ a piece of work is, you can’t evaluate its success without talking about strategy.”
C ( Group looks forward to continually supporting emerging design talent in Ontario, and thanks the RGD for having us at this exciting event.
