About this project
The key theme identified for The College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)’s 2016 Annual Report was “Advancing Public Protection”. The College wished to communicate the excellent work it had done over the previous year on that front and showcase its progress. As the “public” work was a key feature, C(Group developed a visual report that emphasized the community in which it operates.
The cover design featured a grid of people from the community and vibrant diagonal bands of color that create a strikingly beautiful visual motif. The color palette and diagonal design elements are carried through the interior of the report, ensuring consistent and holistically branded content throughout.
This Annual Report was printed digitally and made available on the College’s website for download.

About this project
CSA Group is dedicated to social good; promoting a better, safer, more sustainable world where standards work for people and businesses. Building on a long-standing working relationship, CSA Group engaged C(Group to develop its 2015/16 Annual Report and wanted it to be a trend-setting, state-of-the-art publication.
C(Group undertook the work to create a visual look and feel which was engaging and communicated the organization’s values and goals. The over-arching theme of Social Good was communicated by presenting measurable actions in three key areas: Sustainability, Safety, and Global Trade. In addition, C(Group utilized several leading trends in annual reporting; a “digital-first” philosophy was used and a full online annual report was developed as a special feature on their website.
The online report afforded opportunities to emphasize key messages through the use of engaging animation and powerful interactive effects. The report was fully accessible, AODA compliant, mobile-enabled and responsive for any device and gave users the option of customizing the text view to their preference. A traditional print-format report was also designed so that users who preferred that medium could download it at will. Additionally, a limited, digital print run was produced for the Annual General Meeting and for limited distribution.

About this project
For 95 years, CSA Group has been committed to making the world a safer, more sustainable place for people and businesses.
The annual report, produced in both French and English, is a key communications piece within the organization that details its work and outlines its vision for the following year.
Since the early 2000s, C(Group has been a strategic partner in producing CSA Group’s annual report and helped the organization navigate the shift from print to digital in 2003 when it decided to circulate fewer printed copies in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint.
The report is now produced online-first in the form of a microsite that displays information in a simple, easy-to-navigate manner. Extra information such as the organization’s financial report can be downloaded in PDF format with the click of a button. The theme of this year’s report (“Advancing today, anticipating tomorrow”) is communicated through the site’s sharp colors and animations. Interactivity is used to keep the report dynamic.
Visuals were chosen to help support the brand’s message of expansion beyond the borders of Canada and work to position CSA Group as a global leader in standards, safety, and sustainability.
