Nature Conservancy of CanadaConserving Canadian nature in all its diversity
About this project
In a series of materials produced for the Legacy arm of the NCC, C(Group tells a story of need, support and thanks to some of their most important donors and prospective donors.
NLS (Nature Legacy Society) members have invested in the future of Canada’s natural heritage through gifts and endowments and the recognition brochure offers the medium through which to acknowledge and showcase how donor dollars have yielded results and show appreciation for those who have made NCC work possible. By virtue, it also encourages future donors.
Aimed at new legacy donors, brochures and tradeshow materials were written and designed to convey the importance of preservation of our natural Canadian identity for future generations and to encourage estate and willed giving.
Always mindful and meticulous about established brand guidelines and visual identity standards, our approach includes careful art direction of photography and typesetting. The vastness of the NCC image library lends particular challenges to selecting just the right visuals, but our approach ensures a good cross-section of inspirational, landscape and wildlife to reflect the great diversity Canada’s natural environment and the impact it has on us. The balance of the graphic design comes together with headlines, testimonials, or callouts.

Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and InfrastructureAbout this project
The Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure aims to stimulate economic growth within Ontario and position the province as a globally competitive place to do business.
Over the years, C(Group has assisted with this mission by developing communications collateral for different sectors, including the life sciences, automotive, gaming, aerospace, and mining. Materials include brochures, tradeshow materials, business cards, exhibit directories, publications, and more. These are produced in nine languages, including English, French, Japanese, Chinese, German and Portuguese.
C(Group assisted by establishing brand guidelines and templates for materials produced. Each template needed to fit the context of both Ontario Government communications and each sector while still allowing room for expressing individual sectors.
The communications collateral assists the organization’s mission of attracting business to Ontario across sectors and helps promote Ontario as a global landscape for business development.

Ministry of Research and InnovationAbout this project
The Ministry of Research and Innovation participates annually in an international trade show for the Biotech Industry. As such, the Province requires a trade show booth that showcases its contributions to biotechnology. In recent years, the size of the booth expanded by 100% and required a new concept to be developed around the theme of innovation. The objective of the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation was to be recognized as a major player at this show and to highlight Ontario’s successes in Life Sciences.
C(Group was responsible for the design of the exhibit structure, graphics, event management, video presentation, and catering (with Tim Hortons). The concept of “Innovation +” was created and supported with photographic images of innovative breakthroughs that have been made in Ontario’s Life Sciences community.
These images were displayed on a series of large poster boards throughout the booth and continued on posters designed to display 14 individual exhibitors from the private industry. The booth received an 87.71% satisfaction rating from these exhibitors with attendance exceeding 15,000 making it one of the most successful Bio exhibits ever.
